ALTEBO BikeBox 2
Two bicycles or e-bikes, fully enclosed and lockable.
The ALTEBO BikeBox 2 holds two bicycles or e-bikes in a fully enclosed, lockable metal body sized at approximately 2150 × 1300 × 1400 mm. It is designed for permanent outdoor use: the roof is slightly inclined so water runs off, ventilation openings let moisture and heat escape, and the double-door construction opens wide enough to roll a bike straight in rather than lift it.
It ships as a modular flat-pack — a transport-efficient format that keeps freight costs proportionate to the product rather than to the air around it — and is assembled on site according to the supplied instructions.

Two finishes, one box
The same construction, the same dimensions, the same doors. What differs is the material — and where each one is worth specifying.

The standard finish
Powder-coated black steel
from €1,800
Steel body, powder-coated in black. The version most residential courtyards get, and the one that disappears against dark paving and modern brickwork.
Best for: Sheltered courtyards, drives and gardens — anywhere the box is not standing in salt air.

For exposed sites
AISI 304 stainless steel
from €2,500
Brushed stainless throughout, with the ALTEBO mark engraved rather than printed. Specified where the box is visible from the street and expected to still look new in ten years.
Best for: Coastal air, road salt, heavy public use, and any project where the finish is part of the specification.
Prices are indicative starting prices, per unit. The final price depends on dimensions, material, configuration, customisation and delivery destination.
Five things you can change
You are buying from the factory that makes it. That means the standard product is a starting point rather than the only option.
Standard designs. The BikeBox 2 as shown, in powder-coated steel or stainless. The fastest and least expensive route — order it as it is.
Custom dimensions. Length, width and height set to the space available: a narrow side passage, a low carport, a courtyard with a fixed footprint.
Custom configurations. More bikes per box, internal partitions, shelving above the wheels, a separate lockable compartment for helmets, chargers and tools.
Custom colours and finishes. Any standard RAL powder-coat colour, brushed stainless, or a colour matched to existing metalwork on the building.
Personalised designs for specific projects. Engraved or cut-out identification per unit, a shared-access variant for a residential development, integration with an existing shelter structure or fence line.

ALTEBO BikeBox team · Netherlands
The BikeBox range is developed and sold by our team in the Netherlands. For dimensions, colours, multi-unit projects and delivery, contact them directly — they answer BikeBox enquiries, not process equipment ones.
Will two e-bikes actually fit, including the handlebars?
The internal length is set for a full-size adult bicycle, and the double doors open across the whole front so the bike rolls in rather than being lifted over a threshold. E-bikes are longer and heavier than ordinary bikes, so if you ride a cargo or long-tail e-bike, send us the wheelbase and we will confirm the fit before you order — or widen the box, which is a drawing change rather than a different product.
Can I have it in a different size?
Yes — that is the point of buying from a manufacturer. Length, width and height are all set at drawing stage, and the internal layout can be divided for more bikes or for bikes plus tools. Send us the space you have and what has to go in it.
Can I have it in a different colour?
Yes. Powder coating is available in any standard RAL colour, and we can match a specific colour for a development where the box has to sit alongside existing joinery or metalwork.
How is it delivered and how hard is it to assemble?
It ships as a modular flat-pack and is assembled on site to the supplied instructions. The flat format is what keeps freight sensible — a fully welded box of this size would cost more to transport than to make.
Does water get in?
The roof is inclined so rain runs off rather than pooling, and the doors overlap the body. The ventilation openings are positioned high on the front face, under the roof overhang, so air moves through without driving rain entering — a sealed box with no ventilation traps condensation, which corrodes drivetrains faster than rain does.
Is it secure enough to leave an expensive e-bike in?
The body is welded metal and the doors are lockable. Any storage box is one layer of a security arrangement rather than the whole of it — we would still expect a good frame lock or a ground anchor inside for a high-value bike.
Can you supply several units for a residential development?
Yes, and that is a large part of what this product is for. For multi-unit projects we quote per unit with the configuration fixed across the batch, and can supply a shared-access variant, matched colours and installation drawings for the site. Tell us the number of units and the bikes per unit.
Where is it manufactured?
In our own plants in Tomești (Iași, Romania) and Bălți (Republic of Moldova). The Romanian plant is inside the EU single market, so deliveries within the Union involve no customs and no import duty.
